what animals eat horses
Eating horses?

I wondered (after reading about somebody wanting horse steaks) why do people have a problem with eating animals (like horses) that we normally consider pets? Why is it we can eat deer and turkey, but not horses and, say, parrots or canarys? My dad always tells me that Chinese chefs (in China) put dogs in their food, I don’t know if thats true but the idea is very repulsive to me. Also a lady in our town ate a cat and of course she was fined for animal abuse, but I’m sure people in other countries eat cats and don’t think twice. I hope you all can understand what my question is and I hope I’m not “rambling”.
I hope anybody who reads this understands I would never eat a horse, dog or cat or any animal that is considered a pet. I can’t stand it when people talk of feeding horses to dogs!

It is simply how you are raised and the culture you are brought up in.

Here its not ‘kosher’ to eat horses, but in france its a delicacy.

Here we eat cows, but to some religions its obscene.

There are tribes of indians that have ‘dog ceremonies’ where a dog is killed and eaten.

I personally couldn’t eat horse meat, but am not going to diss someone that does. I would rather see a horse being used for something than left to suffer and die a slow painful diseased death.
