Who says that eating dog is ethically wrong?

Dogs have lives, but so do chickens, cows, fishes. They are all part of nature’s cycle of life. Who are humans to determine which animals are more valuable than others?
Many cultures in Asia as well as Africa practiced dog eating. But it’s not like they choose to cook their pet dogs. Dogs are bred to be meals but most are pets of good caretakers.
If you say that dogs had been the closest animals to humans, that’s an exaggeration. Horses have been the most beneficial and closest comrades to humans throughout most of history, yet horse eating is practiced all over the world even in Europe.
It’s funny how people respond with no guilt that it’s a matter of cultural difference,
but we all know how outraged most westerners become when they hear of eating dogs. Such hypocrites.

Welcome to the concept of “cultural relativism”.

I’m sure there are plenty of people in Hindu countries who are aghast at the number of cows that we raise here, and the amount of steak and hamburger that is eaten.

It all depends on what you’re taught and where you live.
